Daniel Radcliffe faces a new evil in The Woman in Black (2012) trailer

Danielle Radcliffe has stretched his acting legs on Broadway, but now with the Harry Potter franchise finished he must continue his motion-picture career without his wand.  Instead of a snake-faced sorcerer, audiences will see him face an evil ghost out for revenge in his first feature film post-Volde-mortem (sorry had to).

Based on Susan Hill’s novel of the same name, The Woman in Black (2012) involves young lawyer Arthur Kipps who “travels to a remote English village to organize a recently deceased client’s papers, where he discovers the ghost of a scorned woman set on vengeance.”

The film appears to be a period piece horror film, and its second trailer (featured below) is rather creepy.  Between its eerie voiceover and chilling music, the preview definitely gives viewers an intriguing look at Radcliffe’s upcoming movie.  Apart from Radcliffe and the usually great Ciarán Hinds, the cast has a lot of “unknowns.”  Still, The Woman in Black looks like a solid horror mystery worth checking out; in fact, with Radcliffe’s celebrity and also the new, effectively scary trailer, this film has snuck its way onto my Most Anticipated Films list.

The Woman in Black – starring Daniel Radcliffe, Ciarán Hinds, and Janet McTeer – scares its way into theaters on February 3, 2012.

The creepy toys were enough to scare me. Especially when you add the creepy kid voice. haha. But it seems interesting.
